Margaret “Peg” Coleman, author of “Around Germantown — Then and Now,” will meet and talk with residents from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday at the Germantown Library, located at 19840 Century Blvd. in Germantown. The talk is sponsored by the Germantown Chapter of Friends of the Library. Signed copies of Coleman’s book will be on sale.
Coleman, a Germantown resident for more than 40 years, wrote her book “to record the past and honor the planners of Germantown today,” according to a statement from Montgomery County. The book includes chapters and photos on topics from homes and gardens to farms, business, industry, schools, churches and the Civil War.
