The flea market is held on the first Saturday of each month during the warmer 2009 seasons:
dates: April 3, May 1, June 5, July 3, August 7, September 4, and October 2.
where: MARC train station parking lot, Bowman Mill Dr. off of Germantown Rd. This is next to the newer 7-Eleven convenience store and gas station.
time: 8:00 – 1:00p (don’t get there at 1:00p!!)
Susan Kim sent in this advice based upon her participation in the flea market:
Hey ya’ll. I participated last year. Here are some tips: -Arrive EARLY. I think I got there around 6:30 a.m. and there were already people setting up. -When you pull into the lot, you pay a flea market attendant for your space and then you can park wherever you want to set up (if you have a larger vehicle like a van or truck, I suggest parking on the side street as a courtesy to other vendors and customers). -You can purchase more than one space (each “space” is the size of two parking spaces). -You bring your own tables and chairs. -Have lots of dollar bills for change. It’s a lot of fun and I sold mostly everything. Have fun, Susan
also: This is the link for the 2009 Clarksburg Town Center Farmers’ Market. This is a farmer’s market, not a flea market. We’ll see what they do for 2010.
In 2009 the market featured fresh fruits and vegetables as well as other food products, including eggs, honey and baked goods. The market ran from 10:00a to 1:00p every Sunday throughout the summer and fall.
