Volunteers at the Dairy Mooseum have put together an exhibit highlighting the history of dairy farming in Montgomery County. Apparently, in the 40s and 50s, there used to be about 400 dairy farms. Now, five remain.

Route 270 killed many of these farms, with the highway making land worth more and more.

An exhibit at the Waters House History Center (in Germantown) shows the details.
