April 2, 2009 · 6 Comments

FleaMarket3The flea market is held on the first Saturday of each month during the warmer 2009 seasons:

dates: April 4, May 2, June 6, July 4 (this will be verified), August 1, September 5, and October 3.

where: MARC train station parking lot, Bowman Mill Dr. off of Germantown Rd. This is next to the newer 7-Eleven convenience store and gas station.

time: 8:00 – 1:00p (don’t get there at 1:00p!!)

This flea market is an effort of Boyds and Germantown historical societies. (Maybe the Germantown Historical Society website will be working.)

The flea market may be cancelled due to rain. However, it often takes place during intermittent showers. Call the Germantown Historical Society (301) 972-2707) on Saturday morning to see if it is cancelled due to inclement weather. You will be listening to a recording.

also: On Sunday, 6/7 the Clarksburg Town Center Farmers’ Market will open for the season. The market will feature fresh fruits and vegetables as well as other food products, including eggs, honey and baked goods. The market will run from 10:00a to 1:00p every Sunday throughout the summer and fall.

I am not positive, but 95% so that this flea market never pays attention to holidays. Rain, maybe. So it will most probably be held on the first Saturday in July.

Jack, I’m interested in vending this Saturday. Just show up with $15.00? Are tables available? How large is the space? I’m not familiar with the market but a friend has told me that the space is a parking space. What about parking my car after unloading?

Hi Susan. Good to hear from you. You just show up at the beginning, pay $15.00, and you’re ready to roll.
