“Sometimes we need to go out of our way to find the small treasurers in life,” reads a Friends of the Library newsletter. And so it is with the Damascus Library. According to the branch manager, it appears to be out beyond the middle of nowhere.”
Starting in 1962 as a bookmobile stop, its locations include a shopping center store front (in 1973) and its current building in 1990. They are now situated where Montgomery, Frederick, Carroll, and Howard counties meet.
